Bring on the Lashes!

I love applying false lashes. I feel that it gives the makeup that last final touch. I use all different brands but lately I am all for the thick ardell's 138's they are super long and dark! Here is a picture of me rocking my long lashes! I love them!

I have had a number of people asking me what brushes I use. I use different brushes I don't discriminate and really love the MAC brushes but they can put a big damper in your wallet. When I needed a set, I researched and found my brushes at Sigma Beauty. They are comparable to the MAC brushes, they are named in numbers just like the MAC brushes. The bristles are soft and firm, I love the E55 for applying eye shadows on the lids it picks up the right amount of shadow. I use the E30 for my crease shadow it is firm yet soft and the handle allows me to use the wiper motion to get that perfect crease. Then I swipe my E25 to blend my colors together it is so gentle and the handle allows me to have control of my strokes. I love using the E45 when I have to use darker colors for my smokey eyes it is a little bigger than the E25 with more bristles and softer it truly creates that smokey smudge blend in my shadows. Like I said I do use other brushes but these are my staples! They are my go to brushes for my clients and they are affordable! They also just came out with a Flat Top Kabuki Brush for a flawless foundation application and I of course ordered it I will review it once I receive it.

Peggy is one of my friends, I had the honor of doing her make-up today for her special day. Peggy wanted to keep the make-up as natural as possible and she wanted her eyes to pop. I think her vision and my input made her look goregous! My BFF's Priti and Elle were bridesmaids and they looked stunning in fact the entire bridal party were beautiful! I only applied makeup on the bride.

Here are some pics of the make-up I did for Jasmine and her two bridesmaids. One bridesmaid did not have her make-up done by me. The bride wanted a pink palette, which at first I was trying to avoid since I am so used to doing plums and browns for weddings. It was fun playing with the pinks and I think the girls complexions and dresses played it up well.

I used Sinful Colors is Purple Diamond as a base it is a frosty light purple and I topped all the nails with Sinful Colors Fiesty which is a teal and purple glitter. I did three coats of fiesty on my ring fingers. and two on the others

I've been busy the last couple of days. I used Ruby Kisses in Teal Envy and NYC Glitter (can't remember the name) the glitter has small silver glitter and larger pink and blue glitter specks. It's so pretty. I gotta tell you I am IN LOVE with Ruby Kisses!! I purchased their mineral foundation and it is so soft and so pigmented! the polish is equally the same perfectly opaque in two coats and the color is just gorgeous! Stay cool, here are my nails this week:

Why I shouldn't go into Target

So this morning I was running early for a change, I decided to stop at Target..so here is how I go in for one thing only and end up buying 5 things! I went in for a little sweater to go over my sleeveless dress because I get cold at work from the AC. I grabbed a little shrug that was only 9.99 and then I spot this dress.

I mean it practically screamed "BUY ME NOW I am only 19.99"! Of course I think of an excuse to buy it, It will be perfect for Izick's Graduation/Going Away Party next weekend.

I then turn into the cosmetics department, WHY WHY WHY?? I don't need anything..I gather enough excuses to walk myself out of the department when I see the last display all shiny and glittery dedicated to HELLO KITTY! I start going thru all the items on display and after debating on buying Hello Kitty eyeshadows and lipglosses that are meant for lil girls, I notice something, a pink compact mirror super cute and it's only 1.99 of course I need it!

Then my pretty dress says "HEY LADY ACCESSORIZE ME" so off I go to find some turquoise earrings and a ring. I got the accessories on clearance..SCORE!

I get in my car and look at the time on my receipt, I walked into Target at 8:00am and picked up 5 things, umm 4 extra things I didn't truly need in a matter of 20 MINUTES!!

And this my friends is WHY I SHOULDN'T GO INTO TARGET.

I am going to try to keep this up do a new polish weekly.

This look I did on Sat. I used:

Confetti Nail Polish in White Knight - Could be a dupe for Essie's Marshmallow
Sally Hansen Crackle Polish in Vintage Violet.
Seche Vite Top Coat.

I promise to learn how to paint my nails correctly. I am a former nail bitter. I would bite my nails so much that the tips would hurt/burn/sting. I suppose it was a nervous tick but biting my nails was my bad habit since I was a little girl. My mom would bribe me all the time "let your nails grow and I'll buy a pretty ring" She bought garlic nail polish, nail polish that tasted like hot peppers etc. I would still bite my nails. I then got into the acrylic nail craze and that made my nails 100x worse. It wasn't till about 2006 that I stopped getting acrylic on my nails and I started using press on's for any event I would stop at CVS and pick up Broadway Nails's French Manicure Short Style and I'd glue them on, they would last about 2 weeks.

I got sick of buying the press on's and in Nov.2009 for my friend's birthday weekend, we decided to do our own nails and I painted my nails a LOUD silver. In all the pictures I could see the teeny tiny nubs and I thought to myself, I am 29 yrs old with teeny nubs on my big ole hands, this habit has to end. After that weekend I stopped biting my nails and I continued painting them and was recommended Seche Vite. I used Seche Vite as a base coat and top coat, I have to say that I owe my strong, long nails to Seche Vite. It's been a colorful ride since then and now I have a HUGE caboodle dedicated to my nail polish obessesion. (because I don't have enough obessesions)

This weekend was pretty eventful. Saturday I had my nephew's 10th b-day party out east we went go kart racing and I think the adults had more fun than the kids. We then went over to my brother in law's to continue the celebration, gallons of wine and a crapton of brushetta's was consumed. My nephew loves electric blue so in honor of him I went blue!

Yesterday we had the opportunity to see my dad perform with his band at Eisenhower Park for the Latin Festival. It was both Danny and Daniel's 1st time attending one of my dad's shows. Daniel was excited to see his grandpa play. He was kept saying wow that's my buelo. I am super happy he had the chance to see his grandpa do what he loves to do. This again is a crappy blackberry pic, my dad is on the left playing the bass guitar.

Afterwards we headed out to find some grub. I wanted to check out Ayhan's Shish Kebab Restaurant on Sunrise near our home and I convinced Danny to go. WHAT A DELISH SPOT! The food was so GOOD we had the hummus dip and the spinach pie as apps and then Danny ordered the steak pita sandwich and I got the lamb and beef pita sandwich. Everything was delicious and the place is so pretty, we've found a new fave dinner spot,even Daniel loved the food which is rare cause my son is picky.

I've got some more stuff to post but will do so later on.

A Mini Haul

I had a couple of coupons to CVS and picked up more of the crackle polishes. I purchased Vintage Violet and Fractured Foil. I tried Fractured Foil on top of Sally Hansen's HD Pixel Pretty and it came out too sparkly.

I fell asleep before it was actually dry. I am going to try Vintage Violet on top of Confetti's White Knight this weekend. I also picked up Garnier Fructis Triple Nutrition 3 minute undo dryness reversal treatment, I used it once and it did leave my hair silky and soft. I am trying hard not to wash my hair everyday, since I have highlights my hair is really dry and brittle it needs this treatment to make it smooth and keep the brittle at bay. I also got a Sally Hansen no more mistakes nail polish remover pen, It's great for little mistakes on the fingers but I had a hard time removing the nail polish around the edges of my nails without it messing with my nail! I'll stick to drying them well and using some soap and water.

It's going to be 99 degrees in NY today, I wish I would've taken the day off! Stay Cool..

Weekend Recap

On Sat. I went to Sephora to pick up the Marc Jacobs Daisy Perfume which was part of the b-day gift that my BFF Janice got me the gift was 10 samples of perfumes and a gift card to choose which perfume out of the samples wanted, it is the gift that keeps on giving! I also picked up a Sephora liquid eyeliner that I needed and a eyelash applicator which is pure genius makes it so much easier to apply my false lashes!!!

I also had 6 empties so I went on over to M.A.C and got Gorgeous Gold which is a beautiful yellow gold with green shadows. I think it will be bright yellow with a light primer and a rich green with black primer. I purchased Surf USA from the Surf Baby Collection which is a highly pigmented teal reminds me of Shimmermoss and Aquadisac but it is more rich in color and it is so pretty!

I then got ready for a family party in Jersey. I wore a white dress that has navy blue embroidery and gold sequins. So I decided to play up those two colors on my eyes.

So this morning I went into CVS and saw the crackle nailpolish by Sally Hansen in Ink Splatter the price is a little steep 7.99 but I had some a $4.00 dollars off coupon and bought it. My nails are currently rocking pesky purple by essie but they are horrible from being in the pool and are chipping. So of course I couldn't wait to try the crackle polish.

Here is a blurry pic - sorry my blackberry camera sucks!

I think I need to apply it lightly the stuff dries fairly quick so it is hard to coat the nail and I am also going to try a lighter base color so it can show thru the cracks. I love it pretty cool watching it crack on the nails!

So I did not go to MAC! Had too much to do at home, I swear my house looked like a tornado had gone thru it. I spent Sat morning cleaning up all the mess. Then I took D to the Fall Festival at our town's library and it was nice! They had pumpkins for the kids to decorate, face painting, cool ballons, graftti art table and they also had a live band playing. They also served apple cider and handed out cake. The elephant in the room

I am in a slump, I have been going faithfully to the gym for a little over a month and don't see a change in my body or my stamina, in fact I feel that I've gained weight!

Now let me start by saying that I do eat healthy throughout the week but on the weekends I do fall off and have a slice of pizza and wine! I really want to lose this excess weight but it's so hard now, I lost 32 pounds for my wedding in such a healthy way, however I am starting to feel like I won't be able to achieve it this time around. I was 22 and had all the time in the world to focus on losing the weight and on planning my wedding. This time around I have to focus on so many things at once, I feel that it really isn't a priority.

Until I see pictures of myself and can truly see the difference of the past 2 years! Why isn't it my priority? When all I hear on a constant basis from my Husband is that I am gaining weight. Then anger and blame take over me.. How did I let this happen? When am I going to stop? and my response is "I don't ever want to take a picture of myself again"! Why am I ignoring it? Why can't I appreciate what my Husband has to say? I think it's because I know that I am overweight and don't know how to deal with it.

I guess I just needed to vent. I am going to start taking Phentermine which is for people with BMI over 25. I have heard great reviews for the pill. It is prescribed to Obese patients, and it has some side effects but the results are amazing and My Dr. has said I'am in great health, just need to lose weight.

Hi Ladies! I know I haven't posted a look on here in a while. I did my sis in law's makeup on Sunday for a wedding she was attending. She took pics once she sends them to me I will post.

Back to the subject on my title... a good friend of mine Karen works at Scholastic, basically her co-worker needed a boy between the ages of 4-7 for a Better TV Segment. I got the email and replied saying I can have D do the segment. Karen then put me in contact with her co-worker who set everything up. The segment was taped on Aug. 4th and the topic was "Kids pick the book" and D was interviewed about one of his favorite books "Fox in Socks" by Dr. Seuss. He did great! Here is a pic of him at the interview.

Then I got more good news they want D to come back for another segment this time he'll be on the TODAY SHOW!!! It is scheduled for Oct. 19th. Once I get more details I will post. What a great opportunity/experience for him, I of course appreciate the experience way more than he does right now but he will when he's older.

As a child I wanted to be on Romper Room or Sesame Street. I love that we can experience this together and that he actually likes it! It would be hard if he didn't like it.

Who knows my baby may be the next Brad Pitt.. well he'll be the Dominican/Colombian/Chilean with a NY state of mind ..Brad.. LMAO

Planning on doing a look tonight!

I've been so busy this past week.. My son started school and as soon as I get home from work its a race to get his homework done, take him a shower, read him a story, put him to bed , fold laundry, prepare my gym bag, prepare his lunch, layout his clothes for the next day and clean whatever mess my dear husband left in the kitchen and bedroom, finally jump in the shower and watch my DVR shows. IT'S SUCH A RAT RACE.

I was taking Daniel a shower last night and he is climbing on the bathtub balancing himself..I tell him to stop it because he may fall. His response "I am not going to fall I am a professional". The things this kid comes up with crack me up!

Janice and I are going to the Estee Lauder Sale this Sat. and I can't wait cause I get to fill up my third palette! Yippeee

I am also going to do a bridal makeup trial on Janice this Friday!

I made it in to the WTC Chambers St Station at 8:15 am. I NEVER got to work that early. I went to grab breakfast at Fine and Shaprio and my co-worker Judy was there and she said "why don't we just eat here?" I said " Sure, we have plenty of time". We had our breakfast and at 8:45 threw out our garbage and headed towards the electric staircase by Duane Reade in order to walk thru Tower 1 and into the World Financial Center. When we got to the staircase we were greeted by a woman screaming "A BOMB A BOMB A BOMB" and then the lady threw her self down those electric staircases. Pure Shock as we could see the sunny sky grow grey. We then walked towards the Vesey St. Exit by the Borders Book Shop. We were told to wait about 3 minutes which seemed like 3 hours.

We managed to get out of the WTC mall in one piece stepping over metal and debris to the corner of Vesey St. and Church St. I looked up as soon as we got across the street and then the second plane hit and I can't find the words to explain how that BOOM sounded or how the heat of the fire was felt instantly..I get tears and goose bumps every time I close my eyes and relive it, feeling was just so surreal. I saw people with injuries, some lose their minds in tears, screaming and throwing themselves under cars. You don't realize what you will do in a situation like that unitl you are in it. I took hold of my co-worker Judy's hand and started walking ( in 5 inch heels) and did not look BACK. We made it to the front of Pace University right by the Brooklyn Bridge and noticed other colleagues of Merrill Lynch that were all going to walk over the bridge into Brooklyn I asked them to take Judy with them since they all lived in Brooklyn. I had to make my way to my mother's job on 35th and 8th, I knew she was going crazy not knowing where I was. I walked across the street and heard someone call out my name.. It was Angelique one of my best friends. I am so thankful that Judy and Angie were with me on that horrible Tuesday morning.

I don't watch TV today nor do I listen to the list of names, it's just so heartbreaking to know my name could have been on that list.

My prayers are with those who lost a loved one.

So Janice and I went to the Tanger Outlets yesterday and of course had to stop in the CCO Store!

I purchased the following:

3-D Dazzleglass in Racy its bright pink with shimmer
Frost EyeShadow in Vellum its a white eyeshadow with a purple/blue shimmer in it.
Mineralized Blush in Gentle its a sfot pink with gold specks.
2 Dual Edge Eye Pencils in Phone Me/Text Me which is a steal grey and a light sparkle grey and Nighthawk/Front Row which is a brown smooth eyeliner and a really pretty gold shimmer.

WOW.. I have been MIA since Feb...I know that most of the people who read this speak to me on a daily basis so really why update? Please blame all the blog neglect on myspace. I have been tied up at work I just came back from Anaheim I coordinated a convention and I am soooo tired! Well I had been to San Diego once for one of my best friends wedding and I loved it this time I feel in love all over again. Loved Anaheim. I want to go back with time and with my boys I miss them so much when I travel. I was seconds away from Disneyland and seeing all the families there enjoying the beautiful weather got me in vacation planning mode. I've lost me scrapping mojo and haven't done a page in weeks, need to take pics.

is the amount of days I have been here on earth! I am in my late twenties! UGH it hurts to write that. One of my biggest fears is growing old.. silly right? I am thankful for all 9,855 days and looking forward for the next 365 days in 2007.

I want to thank my Mom & Dad, my family and friends for supplying me with unconditional love, I am one lucky girl. I want to thank the lord above for his undying love and for my health, even though I am not in the best of shape at the moment; I am healthy and will be thriving to become a healthier person.

My Son who has made the past 2 and a half years of my life so full love, laughter and meaning, seriously there is no other pleasure than watching your child blossom. I am so grateful for him.

My Husband who loves and does so much for me all with good intentions. I love you, you are my friend, my love, my partner- and yes we argue but it wouldn't be the same if we didn't.

X-Mas is over...

X-Mas was great the kids had a blast! This was the first year that Daniel grasped what was going on. He got so many toys as did my nephews and niece! Very spoiled I can't believe how spoiled he is!

I got a bunch of stuff for my scrapbooking studio!! YAH!! I can't wait to assemble it all.

Of course we had tons of food on the 24th, all of Danny's family was there and it was actually the quietest X-Mas Eve ever! Danny had to work the next day so he went to bed early and it seemed like no one had energy to dance after we opened all the gifts.

Again I had tons of food on the 25th! My mom cooked so much, I love breakfast on the 25th my mom makes arepas con queso and chorizo with a huge mug of hot chocolate it's the BEST!!! my mom's house this year was packed all of my uncles and my aunts and grandma went, it was nice to see my mom's siblings and also nice to see my cousins, especially Eric who came with his girlfriend! My son was so happy he hugged everyone and said thank you to each person after opened his gifts.

I also headed to see my boo's for our annual Secret Santa! I was there for only a little while but it was nice to see all of my girls at x-mas!

Tomorrow is my b-day nothing planned as yet-my gift from Danny is a gym membership (not as fun as last year's gift) 2007 is the year I get back into shape.

I know I know pics are missing!! I will post X-Mas pics soon and I will also do a 2006 photo recap!

I also find myself dreaming of my scrapbook studio in my new home(not that I have a new home but a girl can dream)I found these three items that were cheap and half priced on-line I couldn't resist so I brought them for my future scrapbook studio! I purchased the desk top items and the photo screen in the lime green color!I got four of the storage cubes.

What color should I paint my studio?? I am thinking the colors will be bold like magenta, electric blue, lime green, tangarine and white to bring it all together..What do you think???

YAH.. I am now offically a LI resident no more city! I now work and live in Long Island. Kinda of sad but good. I am the new girl it's day four and I want to go back to JB FAST.. I'll get use to it though with time, I guess. Nothing great to write about. Have been busy with the new job and the moving! I hate moving and to know that this isn't going to be the last move irrates me more, the bonus of the next move is that it will be to my own home! So ready for that and can't wait till it happens, Danny and I are currently pinching every penny possible. I scrapped Daniel's 2nd B-Day pics finally and will try to post them tomorrow.

I have been a bad blogger. I have been busy forgive me. I have a very emotional story. My Space who would've thought? I have two sets of cousins in my life that I have know since birth, my cousin's from my mother side Eric and Joe and my cousin's from my father side Nelson and Arleen. Eric and Joe have always lived in NY but Nelson and Arleen moved to Miami when they were young and they came to NY every summer until my uncle passed away in 1994. I didn't see them again until the summer of 1998 and after that we lost touch. Until two weeks ago Thursday, I was bored at work and decided I would search my space for my cousins they are young enough to know about my space so I typed in Nelson Carrizo and up popped my cousin's page! CRAZY!! We will never lose touch again. It's funny because we all spoke and picked up right where we had left off and it made no difference that we hadn't seen each other in eight years that's family. I had a buddy pass and immediately sent it to my cousin and she spent 10 days in NY and I wish I would've had more time with her but work and family responsibility got in the way. We did things that I should've been doing like visiting my uncle's grave, I had not visited his grave since they last came and it brought back so many old memories of my uncle. We cried and we laughed and we reconnected as a family, and I think that this was my uncle's doing, I know that if I pass and Kaylie, Franklyn, David and Daniel lose touch I would be heartbroken and would want them to find one another.

We take our families for granted, and we should enjoy every chance we get to spend with them beacuse they are ties to who we are, where we came from and I couldn't be happier because I found them.

I seriously have no time to update my blog and I apologize!!! We are in the process of moving and work is just so busy. Today I have great news though!! On Friday I GOT A CAR!!! So I am very excited its my first car and its all mine!! Since we are moving to Long Island I need a car to commute to work. I am so happy!! I've been so busy that I haven't had the chance to blog! I will update on some of the things I've been doing. The day after Daniel's BBQ my friend Lissette invited all the cruise couples and our other friends that couldn't make it to her house to see the video and eat and have fun so the weekend before that Lissette and I got together and decided to make something for all the couples who went on the trip...First, a little on Lissette- If you guys think I am creative you have not met Lissette together we make a great team! We have some things we want to do and I will keep you updated with details as we get things started. We had a little family BBQ and invited my little neighbors to enjoy some burgers and hot dogs last Saturday. My Mom came over and so did Danny's aunt and cousins. It was nice. It was nothing like last year's party this year I had to keep it low key cause we did spend a pretty penny on the cruise. So here are pics of Daniel's 2nd B-Day BBQ.

On Sunday Lissette hosted the cruise video party at her home and being the creative geniuses that we are we made each couple photo vases and trinket boxes that I will have to take pictures of to post they came out so nice! I forgot my camera that night so I have no pics!! Then on Monday Lissette and I the Kids and Telly went to the Beach it was great!! After I got back from the Beach, Sam picked me up and I meet up with Danny at Milly's were we ate and laughed and watched the last cruise video!! This weekend won't be so fun packed I have a ton of laundry to do!!!

Crazy,Awesome,Fun,Relaxing,Phenomenal- a couple of words to describe how our cruise went. We had such a great blend of couples and we were sad to see it end. This was an experience that will never be forgotten. We had fun from begining to end even though we went cave tubing in Belize the entire trip was GREAT!!! We have to do the group thing again!!

Highly recommend cruising with friends in a large group!!! Especially when everyone vibes the exact same way!! I couldn't have asked for a better vacation than this one.

Thanks to Alexa & Kev, Milly & Ronnie, Lissette & Telly, Sari & George, Samantha & Franklyn for putting up with Danny's crazy antics but also for being such amazing friends!!!

Days closer to drinking some pina coladas in the sun. I am so excited I can't contain it! Danny and I packed most things yesterday and I went to get the little things taken care of today. I have to prepare all of Daniel's things as well so he can be comfortable with his grandma! My mom took a week off to take care of my little man!

Sam and I went to get our brazilian wax done yesterday and we are as soft as a baby's tushy! We also had the kids with us and we went out to eat and were worn out by the time we got home. Now all I need to do is get my nails, toes and eyebrows done on Saturday and I am good to go!

Then Danny picked us up and we went to Milly's house to watch the Mayweather vs. Judas fight, The boys enjoyed it the girls were too busy chatting away to care, Milly and I kept talking about the cruise! On Sunday Danny and I went you guessed it CRUISE SHOPPING!! Yeah got a couple of cute things. I haven't posted much lately cause there's not much going on...Can you believe my baby boy will turn 2 in a month and 12 days,I wish he could just stay little.

Yeah picked up a little canadian accent! Coming to ya'll live from my 30th Floor Deluxe Suite overlooking the Niagara Falls!! I left my Rebel!! SOOOO upset but I bought a disposable camera.. The Off-Site is great its going off without a hitch everyone is thanking me for putting it together! WHEW... This past weekend was AWESOME!! On Saturday Danny and I went to his co-worker's wife's b-day party..It was cool Raj and his Wife are West Indian so we danced a little calypso and soca. We didn't stay long and we decided that we didn't want to go back home right away. So we went dancing to El Rancho Jubilee and had fun, we felt a little overdressed but we had a great time. We had not gone dancing alone in years, it was fun. Sunday Sam and I packed the kids in her van and headed to Funtopia for a little b-day party.. LORD what a headache the kids enjoy themselves at places like these but they are just way too crowded and not enough for adults to do. I did manage to get some nice shots of the kiddos!

This weekend I will be heading down to the City trying to hit up Canal Street, The Fashion District and Broadway with Lissette to do a little Cruise Shopping!! Some fake Gucci Sunglasses, Cute Cocktail Dress.. Should be fun!

Days till I am on the Carnival Valor!! I am so excited !!! I have been shopping like a mad woman. On the work front I am so busy, really can't get things done in 8 hours and with the up coming off-site it will be worse since I won't be in the office for 3 days. I planned this off-site and the ones that know me know how much I love to plan!! I planned a dinner at a winery a dinner at the Minolta tower and a Niagara Highlights tour, we will be able to enjoy a journey behind the falls! I plan on taking a ton of pictures! So exciting!!! Other than the dinners and the tour I will basically be the "can you get me this" person. Oh well..

I plan on scrappin tonight my sister is picking Daniel up to spend sometime with him and I get to have the evening all to myself!! Pure Heaven!! not that I want Daniel away all the time but it feels good to have family that wants to see him and play with him once in awhile.

So my weekend was wonderful!! Danny, Daniel and I spent Saturday out and about Daniel had a doctors appointment and got five shots, poor baby!! We then took the little dude to Chucky E. Cheese first off I WILL never step foot in that place again! UGH! Its the only one in Queens so the place is jammed pack we waited in line for about 30 minutes and lasted about 45 minutes in the place! TOO CROWDED and WAY TOO GHETTO! Here are pics of that day..

Yesterday we celebrated Elle's 27th B-Day! Priti had all of us over and we ate and talked and laughed and had a great time!!! I love my girls they make me laugh and get crazy, they remind me of how fun it is to be free to be me and just not worry about anything, my girls each one crazy in their own way.. I love them and wouldn't trade them for anything!

Danced my butt off with my hubby and had a great time my nephew was baptized on Sunday and Sam & Frank had a small reception after the baptism that was really nice here are some pics of the baptism! Well nothing much going on here. I am in a blah state need some inspiration to get some weight off and to just feel better about myself in everything I do. It's one of those days were I need a wake up call. I feel so insecure about my weight even more now that I know I will be going on vacation, about my duties as a mom, as a wife, in my work and well I am in a funk.

I did however scrap two pages on Monday!! Finally got X-Mas scrapped and I got a nice page of Daniel and his Uncle who is his ONLY uncle!! He has 4 aunts and one uncle! LOL!

We are going to have a fun weekend!! Whoo Hoo!! I need to dance and drink and just bug out with friends. Our friend Anthony is expecting his first child and their shower is this Friday. Friday is also my brother-in-law's 31st B-Day!! WHOO HOOO!!! So we plan to dance Friday night away!! Not too sure what we will do on Saturday but if I dance the way I want to on Friday then Saturday will be a nice relaxing day!

What's up my people! So these past two weeks have been pretty crazy and I haven't had the time to post on here and I apologize. I had a ton of things hit me at once and well that needed my full attention. So count down to the cruise is 60 Days till we sail!!! WHOO HOO I plan on eating mints for lunch during these 60 days I swear!! I hit the gym last night and it felt good! GOTTA lose at least 20 pounds before we leave. Any one know a good diet pill/crash diet plan?? If I had the money I swear I'd go and do some lipo! The Day of LOVE...

I think its pretty silly, dedicate just one day to tell someone you love them, Danny and I use to celebrate this day and go all out but not anymore its just a waste I know he loves me and he knows I love him, there's no need to spend money on over priced roses and sweets. I still go out and buy a little something for him even though I find it silly. In honor of the day of love I created a page of the two loves in my life:

Well this years actual present is a 7 day Carnival Cruise in April!!! WHOO HOO We have to pay off the balance tomorrow and what's even more exciting is that we are going with a group of friends Sam & Frank, Lissette & Telly, Milly & Ronnie, Kevin & Alexa, Cynthia & Chris and we are going to have FUN! Belize, Roatan Island, Grand Cayman & Costa Maya HERE WE COME!!!! Do you think I can lose 50 pounds before April 30th??? LORD!!

Had a really good weekend, I went with Janice and Brian to scout out reception halls for their impending nuptuals. Very excited for this wedding! Hope they find something they both love and that their chosen venue can accommodate them soon because as the Maid of Honor I have to scout out Bridal Shower Places and Bachelorette Spots!! I took Daniel with us and the kid is well a handful but the attention he got from the vendors is quite funny to me. These Vendors will do anything to get a party. Any who did laundry and cleaned and dyed my hair! I was starting to look like a bee all black and yellow/reddish blonde HA! Work is getting pretty hectic and I am not sure if I like it or not. I also have a couple of pics that I took last week of Daniel and Kaylie I will post them manana!

Cabagge Soup SUCKS!

I started this diet to jumpstart my weight loss and let me tell you it sucks! I am doing good and its only day 2! 5 more days to go.. I can eat all the soup I want and certain days I can either have fruits or veggies along with the soup all day long. Tons of water and unsweetned juice.

So I scrapped my b-day dinner photos and this how it turned out the jounraling is my blog entry on Dec. 29th (fyi-its 81/2 by 11 my lazy ass is going to convert to the smaller much easier and scan friendly size) HA!

I gotta a bunch of goodies this past weekend!! I can't wait to start playing with them!! I am trying to use the collection of papers I have that are from last years

a Garden Girl from 2 peas!! I read her blog like a crazy woman but never thought she'd actually post on mine!! Thanks Marie for making me feel special!! While I am on this subject Marie has set up a photo challenge I have to submit my first photo shot in manual on Friday! I so needed this, learning how to use my Rebel and getting some great feedback from a great photographer is so so COOL!

I really have to get more layouts on here! I am just lazy and hate scanning them since my layouts are 12x12 I have to scan them twice and then edit them in PhotoStudio then I have to upload them and well that is just too much! Stayed up way too late last night planning my submissions to HOF!! This weekend will be scrap, scrap, & scrap!!! I am so pumped!!!

I know I said it before but I HAVE to get to the gym I have a cruise in April that I have to look like a Barbie for!! UGH!! I need to lose a good 30 pounds. I am going to join the gym and eating healthy no more junk food! Easy to say so hard to do.
This will serve as my reminder!

Nothing fun to report... Only fun thing is that it's FRIDAY!! Not much to do this weekend, my apartment is spotless since I was off this Monday, but I do have a one year old and his little hamper is full, so got to do some laundry.

I have three gifts cards that are burning a hole in my wallet!! Gotta Shop I am going to get a ton of scrapbooking goodies. That is my priority this weekend! Love shopping with other people's money HA!

Finally scrapped Daniel's Halloween pics, now I have to scrap Thanksgiving, X-Mas and New Years! Since I am on the scrapbooking subject, I decided to not enter the Scrapworks Design Team Contest, I am *thinking* of entering the Creating Keepsakes Hall of Fame. In all honesty I can't find the time to scrap and the only time I do have makes me a sleepless grouchy witch and no one likes a sleepless grouchy witch especially Danny.

When I do scrap it takes me like 3 hours to do a page. My process is selecting good pics; once I have selected the pics, I wander off to lala land and think of a good title (there's an hour). Then I pair the pics up with the papers in my collection, after I select the paper I think of embellishments what will make my page fun. Then I stop go get a snack eat it and I watch some reality TV or play with my pics in Photoshop. When I am done with my snack, I look at my selections and analyze what I have chosen then I start thinking “Do I really need ribbon on this page or should I just skip it"? "Should I make the pictures bigger or smaller"? (this takes me another hour.) By then I have changed my first selections entirely. The last 20 minutes consist of assembling my page and journaling. It really sounds like a drag but I love it because the end result is always a surprise, it is also funny to me because I think of something in my head and when I start to create it turns out similar but so much BETTER than I imagined!

I know you were all DYING to know my scrapbooking process (NOT) but I wanted to share it with you. You can now really appreciate my homemade cards & layouts (for those who have gotten cards and layouts.)

I really want spring to come all I want is nice weather so I can go outside and take pretty pictures! This Year will be WELL Documented (got to go thank Danny again).

Birthday-New Years Recaps

So guess what my incredible fantastic outrageous, down right great husband got me for my birthday!! MY CANON DIGITAL REBEL!!! OH YEAH!! I was totally shocked he went all out and I am forever grateful!! See we had discussed this the entire month of December and I knew that the digital rebel was pretty expensive so I downgraded and asked for the Film Rebel, so when I opened up my gift I was in shock to see digital on the box!!!

I am now a paparazzi clicking non-stop so if you see me with my camera strapped to my neck make sure to smile!

My Birthday was great, I got a ton of gifts and two cakes! Yummy and on Friday Carol, Janice, Elle, Samantha, Iraida and Yanet took me out to Pasta Di Giorno on Austin St. AWESOME food and we ate and laughed and I of course took pictures! A great way to celebrate life- laughing and eating! Here is a photo recap of my birthday dinner.

New Years was fun! We again celebrated at Franklyn and Samantha's house! We danced and had tons of drinks (concoctions green, red and blue ones my brother in law's specialties) Daniel was a trooper that kid was up till about 2 am!!! Well little David woke up about 5 minutes after I put Daniel in bed so Samantha and I never got the chance to drink together!! Those little critters it as if they know we want to have fun and here is the recap to New Years Eve!

I entered the world, full of life and laughter, and I was ugly or as my mom calls me "the ugly duckling". She makes fun of me all the time, how I had split ends and a mullet to the big red marks on my forehead and upper lip, & my feet were turned inward. Even with the ugly remarks I love it when she tells my birth story, how she had to wait 8 hours to hold me (back then they knocked you out entirely for a c-section), and when she finally held me she examined me all over counting my toes and fingers and how happy she was to have such an ugly baby!

I have to say I am pretty happy with the past 26 years of my life, from my childhood to my crazy teenage life and to my present adulthood, I feel as I have really lived, I have accomplished plenty of things I didn't think I would be able to. I can't wait for the years to come. I read this piece from Anna Quindlen who wrote the book "A Short Guide to a Happy Life" and this made me think of all the things that I have yet to "learn how" to experience:

"Life is made of moments, small pieces of silver amidst long stretches of tedium. It would be wonderful if they came to us unsummoned, but particularly in lives as busy as the ones most of us lead now, that won't happen. We have to teach ourselves how to live, really live...to love the journey, not the destination."

So I will continue to enjoy my journey and hope you join me in creating those moments of small sliver pieces. I don't want to feel compelled to get to the finish line, I just want to BE.. be me, be fun, be HAPPY!!

Christmas Aftermath

Christmas is over! I am the type of person who loves the chaos and excitement of Christmas. I also enjoy when its over, I feel a sense of relief, like a weight has been lifted and I am ready to enjoy my birthday and dance away 2005.

Daniel loved Christmas! He ripped up wrapping paper by the ton, the boy has toys to last him his entire childhood! I got a barbie doll and thought I was lucky! This year I got cute earrings, the "so in love" perfume by victoria secret, a wet/dry electric shaver, some cash and a gift card to Michael's!! Didn't get my Canon Digital Rebel like I hoped but my b-day is Thrusday so I might just get the Canon EOS Rebel T2 (HINT HINT)

Had a good time on Saturday at Franklyn and Samantha's house we danced and ate and just had a blast! Franklyn Jr. and David got a ton of gifts as well! I swear the living room looked like toys r us! Christmas Day was great we went to my mom's and she made us breakfast YUMMY arepas con queso with hot chocolate & strawberry shortcake and then we helped Nathaly and Kaylie open their presents.

I then went to Priti's to exchange our kris kringle gifts. Of course we had a blast, nothing prevents us from laughing when we are all together!

I am so excited!! Tomorrow we will be celebrating Christmas Eve at Samantha and Franklyn's home for the first time!! Then I am off on Sunday to my Mom's and to my girl Priti's house and then we are heading over to Brian's house to party!! WHOO HOO!!! Can't wait! So Santa stopped by house already and left a ton of presents!!! Here is the picture of my little tree!

I have been very busy lately, Not sure how many people read since NO ONE has left me a comment!! No sweat my pets, I have been scrapping plenty and plan on submitting some work to Scrapworks! They are looking for Design Team Members for 2006 so I am going to submit and see what happens!! Wish me luck!

On another note I have not done ANY X-Mas shopping YET!!!! I need to get myself in the stores this weekend! Well I got three gifts but still need 17 gifts!!!
UGH!! procrastinated a ton this year!

Danny and I put up our FIRST X-mas tree this past weekend and it looks beautiful!! We never put one up before since we have always celebrated x-mas at his parents or my parents house. We opted for a 4ft tree since we have no space and put it on top of a table, cause Daniel would've destroyed it had we left it on the floor. Gotta get a pic of it!

Need to seriously get my behind to the gym! I have been slacking a ton and eating way too much junk food lately.

I will try and post a pic of my cute little tree tonight!
